Starbright
Japanese musician and composer otom has released a new single titled "Starbright".

This is otom's first song of 2024, following their previous release "Touch" in August 2023.
Like before, otom worked on for everything from lyrics and composition to mixing, mastering, and artwork design for "Starbright".
Based on phrases created around 2020, then this project began in September 2023, focusing on a live feel and a small ensemble approach, similar to the previous release.
The music features otom's signature sound, including instruments like the Fender Jazzmaster, along with lively and heavy Drum, Also drived Bass.The vocals sing about the contrasts of brightness and darkness one encounters as they grow older and chorus harmony were thoughtfully arranged.
Recording, mindful of the theme of "relaxation" in daily life, continues in this release as well.

日本のミュージシャン、作曲家のotomのニューシングル『Starbright』。

2023年8月にリリースの前作『Touch』以来となる2024年最初のotomの曲。
『Starbright』は今回も作詞作曲にミックス、マスタリング、アートワークのデザインの全てをotomが手がける。
2020年頃に作ったフレーズを元に、2023年の9月よりプロジェクトを本格的に始動した今作は前作同様にライブ感を重視し、小編成を意識した一曲となっている。otomの特徴の一つであるFender Jazzmaster他のギアからなる音作り、軽快さと重みを追求したドラム、ドライブしたベースで構成。若さを経て大人になって目の当たりにする輝きの明暗の歌詞を歌うボーカルとコーラスワークは特に考え抜いてアレンジした。日々のテーマでもある『脱力』を意識しながらの録音は今回も継続されている。
