Touch
"Touch" is otom's single, focusing on a guitar-driven wall of sound. It's a simple song with a live feel, featuring otom's layered guitar sound, lively and heavy drums, and driving bass. The vocals and chorus singing with lyrics about discommunication were recorded while keeping in mind relaxing, which has been a recent theme of otom.
The original song was part of otom's 2nd album, "Voice Called From Within The Wall" (2004), which mainly featured acoustic sounds. For this single release, the lyrics were write into Japanese, and all the parts were re-recorded and rearranged, while staying true to the essence of the original song.

『Touch』はギターによる音の壁を意識したotomのシングル。シンプルなコード進行を基本としつつ、ライブ感を重視した一曲。otomの特徴の一つであるレイヤーしたギターでの音作り、軽快でありながら重みを感じるドラム、ドライブしたベースで構成されている。コミュニケーションのあり方を扱った歌詞で歌うボーカルとコーラスは、otomの最近のテーマでもある『脱力』を意識しながらの録音となっている。
オリジナルはアコースティックサウンドを主体とした2ndアルバム『Voice Called From Within The Wall』(2004)に収録されていた曲。今回シングルとしてのリリースにあたり、日本語の歌詞に変更し、原曲を踏襲しながら全てのパートを再録音、再構成している。
